Wetlands are incredibly important features of the natural landscape, providing countless ecosystem services to local ecology and wildlife.

Are you a woodland owner who would like to produce an annual income from their property? It can be difficult to achieve an annual income but maple production may be the answer.

Ohio State University Extension's Ohio Woodland Stewards Program publishes the Woodlands, Water and Wildlife newsletter. The Summer Issue is out and includes the following articles: Bats in Building Research Request; Developing Small Woodland Management Service Providers from the Green Industry; The Unwanted Invaders - An Invasive Species Update; Future Foresters: Camp Canopy; and a list of upcoming classes and webinars.

Registration is now open for the 2019 Tree Diagnostic Workshop on the OSU campus in Mansfield, Ohio on Friday, August 2, 2019. This full day workshop offers SAFCFE, ISA and ODA credits.
