National Pollinator Week Begins Today

Published on

The Pollinator Partnership is proud to announce that June 18-24, 2018 has been designated National Pollinator Week. This week long observation is a time to celebrate pollinators and spread the word about what can be done to protect them.

Eleven years ago the U.S. Senate’s unanimous approval and designation of a week in June as “National Pollinator Week” marked a necessary step toward addressing the urgent issue of declining pollinator populations. Pollinator Week has now grown into an international celebration of the valuable ecosystem services provided by bees, birds, butterflies, bats and beetles.

The Pollinator Partnership has a website that you will want to check out

Additionally, there is a page that is a landing for all information related to National Pollinator Week at

The website is packed full of great information developed to help get the word out. There are National Pollinator PDFs that include:

  • General Facts About Pollinators -
  • Pollinator Facts for Farmers and Ranchers -

  • Pollinator Facts for Educators and Students -

Each year there is a new poster designed to help get the word out about pollinators. This year's poster has a pollinator and seeds theme.
