What Is It?
A Partnership: The Diagnostic Walkabout Series in Greater Cincinnati is offered through a partnership between the Ohio Green Industry Association (OGIA) and The Ohio State University Extension.
Professional Training: The Walkabouts are for Green Industry professionals, including arborists, landscapers, turf managers, nursery managers, garden center managers, etc.
Comprehensive: Participants look at plants, plant pests, plant diseases, landscape designs, and other points of interest. Discussions focus on plant problem diagnostics, plant health management, plant selection, and sustainable landscape designs. Special attention will be given to non-native invasives, including updates and tips on detection.
Hands-On: The training is held outdoors; topics are viewed first-hand.
Real-World: The Walkabouts reflect real-world landscape scouting; anything found on the Walkabout is open for consideration!
