Things are happening and this outreach of the OSU Turf Team highlights seasonal updates for those interested in turf, and related updates. Some highlights include: weed control - clover, poison hemlock, black medic, tree seedlings like maples, crabgrass, field paspalum, treatment timing - ideal and not so ideal; nematode surveys and chinch bugs; ideal conditions for turfgrass growth which increases mowing for cool season grasses, fertilization focused on root development; ideal weather for disease development including red thread, anthracnose and dollar spot; and check for billbugs, sod webworms, ground beetles and springtails.
