Check out three upcoming Virtual Book Clubs this winter. Each month in January, February and March, participants will be discussing a specific book. Discussion will occur using Zoom and will last 60 minutes on Monday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00 pm.

Now that Christmas is over, people ask “What’s the best thing to do with my greens? I know some avid gardeners and bird enthusiasts suggest taking the tree out and leave it in your yard to provide shelter for wildlife. It sounds good but there may be a problem.

Collecting Baldfaced Hornet Nests: BE CAREFUL

Summary: A baldfaced hornet nest can be a wonderful conversation piece when displayed in a home or office. However, we may not yet have experienced a sufficient accumulation of freezing temperatures to kill all of the baldfaced hornets still standing guard inside their nests, particularly in southern Ohio.
